My Grandfather told me many times when his grandfather told him about the eleventh hour. It was the most important moment for my great-great-grandfather in his life.

There was a bullet in his colt 1911 that had the dudes' name on it engraved. By actually shooting that bullet, tommy signals that his revenge is satisfied and he no longer has the urge to kill the target. Armstice. The great war ended at 11am. Peace at last.

I just realised peaky blinders was never about money, family or power. It was about a shell shock war vet that could only keep living and maintain somewhat of his insanity with a constant war. Either with civilians, gangs, police or even the fucking government. The ones that died in the war were lucky.
