Don't forget, this is the first time Tommy is meeting the man who saved his life, got him the export license which allowed for his wealth, who paid him huge sums of money to do secret jobs for him, and now, has become his ally in this new fight Tommy has taken on. Finally, they meet, and find each other equals and kindred spirits. Man I love this show. I hope Churchill is a big part of 6. He did tell Tommy to call him if he needed anything.

I have studied Winston Churchill for decades. This portrayal is the best I have ever seen. The actor even gets a hint of the lisp Churchill struggled with through all his life. The script writing is spot on as well. Having read not only Churchill's books, articles, and personal letters, but also his speeches in the House of Commons, I am confident that this is very much what the great man would have sounded and spoke like in a private conversation. I am just amazed at the perfection of this scene. I'm going to have to watch this series.

The fact Churchill doesn’t even remember Campbells name says a lot of Campbells character lol. Churchill knows Tommy, respects Tommy, but didn’t even remember who Campbell was, and he was a “man born better than him” 😂
