Russia's deadliest attack on Ukraine, fires ballistic missiles in Poltava; 41 killed, 180 injured

Social media videos showed the scope of destruction after a missile attack on Ukraine’s Poltava on Tuesday (September 3). Reuters was able to verify the location by the building characteristics, trees and road layout which matched file and satellite imagery of the area. The date was verified by the official reports. At least 41 people were killed and more than 180 wounded on Tuesday when Russia hit a military institute in the central town of Poltava, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said, in one of the deadliest single strikes of the war.
