Captured by Colour: Introduction to Natural Dyes

My mom was raised on a farm in S.Italy in the 30’s and 40’s and she knew the secret to all the natural dyes. Her family’s farm was very self sufficient. Made their own soap from used olive oil and ash water. They would dye stockings with coffee. Nuts and onions for brownish & tan colors.

My first time to dye in more than a square of material. Big fun. Your skills are many and I would be grateful if you would do more videos on each of your lovely dyeing and then on the sewing of garments, slow stitching and the use of wooden buttons and door shavings!!
