About us:
In March 2017, Rick and Andrea (confessed Travel Addicts) started a Facebook Group called Travel Addicts as a way to share their travel photos and videos not just with their own respective friend's lists – but with the world. Part of the reason was for bragging rights (I mean, that’s kind of the point of sharing photos, right?), but also to help answer questions to others about the destinations they have visited.

After inviting some of our friends and family, it grew and grew – and as of June 2019, the group has grown to over 200,000 members! One reason for our success, we believe, is that we have done our best to ensure only high-quality photos and videos get shared, all while limiting the use of commercial content.

We’re actually on a frecciarossa train right now! Traveling back to Rome from Venice, but we were in Florence the day before yesterday. Your videos have helped us so much! Thanks for all you do!

When we travelled there last year, i had a request to go through Firenze and we went there for 1 day, we really wished we skipped out on Pisa and just stayed there for 2 days. Firenze was truly amazing, and im saying that for only being there for 1 day.

We are directly going to Rome after Florence. Both Don and I are in our mid seventies. I’m thinking of talking the golf cart first and then follow some of your exploring areas. What do you think?

We will be in Florence for four days starting Sept 13. Is it too earlier to book events we want to attend without crowds?

I'm planning a trip at the end of August. I really want to go but all the comments about the weather and tourists make me worry. Should I switch to some place else?

1. Never is a good time to visit Firenze.
The locals are discortese compared to other areas of Italia; they'll fleece your pockets (pure se sei italiana); and they'll only consider you if you spend loads of €

2. Building standards aren't what many visitors expect.
For my last visit, I stayed in quartiere Santo Spirito. Frankly, for the price I paid in a building which should be condemned. And this isn't the first time.

3. Don't miss il Battistero di San Giovanni; il coridoio Vasariano; Santa Croce; eat at GustoPizza and gelato da i Negri

4. The best thing about Firenze is the aqua frizzante accanto a Palazzo Vecchio

Here's my thought about Italy. One it's overcrowded and you cant do anything but blow money. Second. Food and accommodation in Rome SUCK. overpriced and just terrible.. i mean paying $18 euro for a plate of 30cent worth the pasta is stupid if you by it. We ate pizza and 2 coked $57.00 euros. You kmow what this would buy you in Texas. Clothing shops are a joke. $600 euros for shoes, $300 euros for hand bag that says made in Italy. Your stupid if you do it and by them. No body is in any of the name brand stores, because you have to be a millionaire to afford it. This is pur hipe, l wished l never came here...don't be fooled by this people. This is not when you want to spend your earned earn money.

Just my opinion, which is not nearly as knowledgeable as these guys. My recommendation is… don’t. Don’t go to Florence. There are dozens of amazing cities in Italy to visit which aren’t as over-touristed as Florence.
