Italian here, a tip about ATM. only use the one attached to an actual Bank branch, NEVER EVER use those you find scuttled around newsstands, souvenir shops etc., those are mostly scams. It apply for sure here in Italy but I saw the same in many other EU countries.

Trish, you always do the BEST recaps of your trips; your voice was made to do this. Thanks for taking me (and everyone else) along on this wonderful trip to Italy. So many fantastic things to see and enjoy, but what I took away from this more than anything was the joy you experienced sharing this journey with your best friends. Grazie Mille!

We went to Italy for a month back in the 90s. We used backpacks and I recommend taking enough for a week or two. The secret is pack enough undies for two weeks and outfits for one week and POLYESTER is key. It dries fast and you can wash a shirt or skirt in a hotel sink-it’ll be dry in the morning. We also used laundromats when available. Black, white and neutral colors you can mix. One pair sandals, one pair sneakers, one pair dress shoes (sandals could double as dress shoes for women). Rolling clothes makes packing easier and can help with wrinkles, but polyester eases wrinkles quickly so no problem. Black has the advantage for not showing stains either, so you look good even if you’re not super spotless! Great series, thumbs up.👍

Awesome-If there’s a next trip to Italy I hope you get to Capri, Positano, Amalfi, & Ravello. Stole me heart over all the other parts of Italy. Glad you had a blast!

Caleb said it best about 5 years ago, when he was asked by the Customs Officer regarding what he was bringing back into the U.S. from his trip to "Memories and joy!"
Thanks Marc and fam.

I agree with Marc ... "Stumble across" is the only way to travel ... We did that in Costa Rica. The only thing we made reservations was the airplane to get there & come home. The 'in-the-middle' was a blast. We thought we'd hunker down at a beach but instead we ended up in La Fortuna & spend the entire 20 day there.

Watching this week from Palermo, Sicily :) We are spending six weeks here before going to mainland Italy. Two years ago we hit all the big cities and did all the must sees and do's (we're Canadian and we got to come at the end of covid when it was virtually empty)and this time it's about taking our time. Sicily is awesome and the food....well, aranchina!😋 Enough said. Ciao!

Was recently there so I get it.. loved Italy. My wife and I did Rome, Florence, Cinque Terre, Milan and Venice. Train system is reliable and pretty much on time. Train station can be super crowded and confusing, specially in Rome. Thanks for the awesome trip down memory lane. You guys are great..

Outstanding review of Italy! Love all the little tips as well as talking about the best time to go. Saving this for when planning my trip. Italy on top of my bucket list, however, our travel buds chose Scotland for the biggie this year. Hopefully Italy sooner than later!

I think the biggest takeaway here is plan your trip thoroughly, know what the roads will be like, go to places that interest you not appease the fomo checklist, a hotel may be more reliable than an airbnb/vrbo, pack light but pack a smile!! 😃

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed these last few weeks on KYD in Italia! I lived in Northern Italy 🇮🇹 for two years back in the ‘80’s. Your trip made me homesick. It’s time for a trip!

I thoroughly enjoyed this Italy trip. You really did a outstanding job on your experience from a to z. I don't think I would go to all those places. I just want to relax, do the food thing you did making the pasta, being out in the countryside, and a little shopping. I'm not for crowds so it was so helpful with everything you showed each week. I look forward to your next adventures. Thank you for doing this. So when is off season in Italy and a less crowed time with decent weather? Until next episode have a great adventurous week and safe travels!❤😊
