My husband and I spent 2 weeks in Tuscany and rented an apartment in Lucca as our base. We toured Florence, Pisa, Siena, Volterra and many places in between. We fell so in love that we are planning for our retirement in Italy.

This brought back memories. Sicily is a must, but in Spring when it's green. The north: Bolzano, with its incredible preserved Neolithic mummy. The northwest: Torino, with its arcades, palaces, and the Turin shroud; Aosta, with its Roman ruins. So many more. Avoid visiting in high season, Spring and Winter are best. Happy travelling.

I was blessed with the opportunity to live and work in Italia in my 30's and 40's, a phase when most of us have the youth and appetite to push hard. Experiencing all that I could left me a lifetime fan but, sadly you eventually realize that Italy is far more than any single lifetime...what a glory.

I lived in Italy for two years and traveled all over the country. Some of my favorite places are Verona, Sirmione, Matera, Ischia and Lago di Como.

I’ve been to Italy a few times. My recommendation is to also visit Verona and Brescia. It’s about an hour or so train ride from Milano.
Verona is a spectacular place to see from above. Take the Funicolare up to the Castel San Pietro. A view you’ll never forget.

Just got back from Italy. We stayed in Menaggio on Lake Como. Absolutely beautiful. We used the ferries to visit other areas. Unfortunately we had to cut our trip short as the roof in our Airbnb started to leak during a storm. We ended up spending an extra day in Milan. Milan is really nice and easy to get around.

Fabulous video and commentary. I've been visiting Italy for over ten times and five weeks at a time. My favourite places are Genoa, Padua, Lecce and Pisa lined with palaces on the Arno River. Then Orvieto and Treviso.🌺

Thank you for the video. The drone shots are magnificent. I went to Rome once, and that was it for me. But Lake Como, Venice, Tuscany & the Val d'Orcia, and then the Amalfi coast have been on my rotation every other year. I am done with touring, and now only go for the fabulous hotels, food, and views. Would love some 5 star luxury hotel reviews in those places as well, because your narration and video style are so pleasant.

You have to be careful with the glass from Venice. It isn’t the glass places fault or anything wrong with it. They use DHL to send the stuff home and DHL see how much the stuff is worth and they hit you with an import tax.

Beautiful, but it would have been nice to identify each of the towns on the lakes and Cinque Terre
