Just got my launchpad today and i was able to learn how to map project files and learned how to do one song in 2 hours. I have to agree Abelton lite was very confusing but once you play around with it you figure out how to use it. Now to figure out how to do the light shows and actually make my own music. good luck to anyone who is about to start learning how to use one!

I appreciate the review! I want to mention that when I purchased this I didn't expect I was getting Ableton live LITE. It's been relatively difficult finding project files that are compatible since the majority of files use the full version. I mapped this for my traktor but honestly I expected to use this like the videos you see of these guys playing full songs rather than loops. Kind of misleading. This equipment is good for basic loops and samples though.

I understand probably anything that I have to know about the Launchpad in Ableton and it took me 1 year :)

Not a bad review even thought you could have used a better example for the light show say by using one by either inspiraspir or Kaskobi and for the user 1 finger drumming, something by R!ot. Other than that, not bad!
