I would like to have a slider than a folding phone.

I REALLY like the MI Mix 3 design... The only chance I think it has to survive, is because you can fit more and bigger cameras in there, whereas with holepunch, you can't really fit more than one before it gets distracting.

I got the phone for 475$ it's amazing in every aspect even the battery I'm getting around 5 to 6 sot with heavy use totally recommend

I have heard that OnePlus are doing a slide mechanisim for the 7, and with OnePlus being more popular now I reckon it may take off as for people like me in my 30s who have experienced clamshell and slide up phones, this could bring back memories of what phones use to be.

My main purpose of my phone is to watch videos and movies. I try watch films in their original aspect ratio and how the director intended. Notches and hole punches drive me up a wall. One of the reasons I still have my LG v20. A perfect uninterrupted screen. Gr8 vid. 📱

Just curious, how do cases work? Does it block the sliding?

I personally want a design like the Axon 7, just with the bezels thinner inside, with front facing stereo speakers and an excellent DAC.

Good review but a few corrections (I am sure others may have already commented):
1. The AI button is pretty customizable. Out of the box it launches Google Assistant but can be configured to do things like open the camera, launch the previously used app, and other actions. Also Android's ability to define the default assistant, takes it a step further. For example, on my phone (coming from the Windows Phone world), I have the AI button programmed to launch Cortana. You can also configure it to call up Alexa if that's your thing.


2. There is a face-unlock feature however to use it, you need to set the region of your phone to either Italy or Hong Kong. This seems to be a regulatory thing in which Xiaomi does not have control over at the moment.

It's either sliders will become popular or the newer dual screen design where the back of the phone has a smaller screen so whem you can take a selfie from the reaf camera, you can see yourself

I loved the sliding display. It's fun and so nostalgic (in a great way). I definitely wanna buy one. If you could, make a video about the Honor Magic 2. Looks like a better implementation of the slider. More mature.

I'd rather have this over the hole punch display. This gives me control of the front facing camera which I rarely ever use. If I had this phone I would slide it more out of boredom than actually needing to use the camera.
