With this design they have nailed it, change the camera positions (Iphone style, where's the originality), and give it oxygen os and regular updates and the customers will do the rest.

Guys from Ukraine (AndroNews channel) have a ~10 hour stream with the test of the slider of this phone. It sustained about ~80k of open-close actions without interruption. So, it's quite hard to talk about robustness of Xiaomi's slider.

I love how all tech people believe products will be forgotten about because they say so. Sometimes let's step outside the tech bubble and think about the average customer who isn't trying and reviewing phone and doesn't really watch reviews on tech channels. And then go and mention Qualcomm latest chip chances are you will get a blank stare

Tbh Xiaomi's too forgettable as individual line ups outside of Poco since they have way too many line ups. Mi Mix, Redmi, Poco, Mi, Redmi, Pro, Blackshark, Max etc.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Mi Mix just ends up getting forgotten within a couple months.

I'd love there to be a global version of this or Honor's equivalent but I doubt it will ever be released to be honest. I think Xiaomi and Huawei don't believe these slider phones appeal enough to global audience due to having absolutely zero water or dust resistance. It's not just that they don't have an IP rating, OnePlus phones don't but they're incapable of having any real resistance due to the sliding mechanism.
