I never thought of a suede slip dress, but that sounds absolutely adorable & looks sooo comfortable. I wasn't sure what fabric in my box would be best suited until I stumbled across this. Thank you for the inspo!

I really loved both! I think the problem with the black one is the puckering at the seams. If you try that again it might be a good idea to sew with a few straps of paper on top and bottom of the fabric and adjust your tension or stitch lenght so it doesn't pucker, like you did on some of your tutorials before.
Thin and flowy materials like these are SO tricky to sew! Professor Pincushion here on youtube has a video on how to sew silk, satin and chiffon with some amazing tips. It might help you get the hang of it (:

The black one turned out a little bad not because material was bad but because you saw it bad... Satin is thin & sensitive fabric. So it requires clean stitches and ironing.
