now that's a perfect comparison video.
I went with 7600 because I didn't wanna spend more on the CPU cooler and 7600 comes with a stock cooler where 7600x doesn't

What people forget to say is the 7600 comes with a stock cooler and the 7600X does not so you will spend $20-$30 more one the X version.
I forgot to add that a great cooler is the
(Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE C)
Ill put it in my comments so you can easily copy and past it.

I loved the comparison, great help specially considering that electricity is not that cheap

Don't look at the base clock. It's higher with the X version but the boost clock is only 200mhz higher than the non-X. That's why the gaming difference is only a few fps and the non-x runs so much cooler.

Don't know why they keep producing the X version and people keep buying them.

I found a 7600x open box for $180, so I went with that for my latest build

I would like some clarification. 1:00 How come the system with 7600X consume only 238 W? R 7600 can go to max 90W while R 7600X consume max 142W that is a 50Watts difference while your system comparison shows only 25 W difference? Why?

With price, also the 7600 comes with a stock cooler, which at the low tdp ought to be adequate to.

So power savings, cooler savings... it depends if money and value are the priority or absolutely the top performance.

I got the 7600x with a 7800xt gpu should a 750w psu be more than enough?

My 7600x runs on all cores to 5.7~5.8 ghz constantly at 80°C, which I take as an absolute monster that it is. Does the 7600 also goes past the turbo spec if temps allow?

Price has come down for the 7600x a lot, on newegg its 220$ right now, while the 7600 is about 210$
10$ upgrade, for slightly more performance. Probably would recommend going with it.

I wonder if most of the difference (even if it's really representative) comes from the low base clock (the biggest difference), in other words, the whole boost clock concept doesn't work so well as one would hope, meaning, having a "boost" doesn't actually give one the pure boost performance (the difference to the base clock matters a great deal), for whatever reason (like delay). Or more likely they tweaked it to not boost properly.

I went for the x version bc the non x was at 189$ and the x was at 197 so not that big of a difference
Also the x came with a 512gb m.2 gift👀

Then you 7600 overclock to the same GHz as 7600X and then difference is like ~1% (margin of error), which you can easly done with stock cooler, but not 1GHz more, then you need fancy better cooler.
