UCI School of Law Chancellor's Chair Lecture recorded February 13, 2012.

Professor Rick Hasen, a nationally recognized expert on election law, lectures on the subject of his new book, "The Voting Wars: From Florida 2000 to the Next Election Meltdown," to be published by Yale University Press in Summer 2012. The book explores why nearly a dozen years after the controversial 2000 U.S. presidential election, the problems with how we run our elections are still not fixed. He argues that we are just one razor-thin presidential election away from chaos and an undermining of the rule of law.

Prof. Hasen blogs on the often-quoted Election Law Blog, and has written more than four dozen articles on election law. He also co-authored a leading casebook on election law, and was founding co-editor of the quarterly Election Law Journal.
