How to use the sum and difference formula for tangent

👉 Learn how to evaluate the tangent of an angle in degrees using the sum/difference formulas. To do this, we first express the given angle as a sum or a difference of two (easy to evaluate) angles, then we use the unit circle and the Pythagoras theorem to identify the angles and obtain all the needed trigonometric function values of the angles. I think her question and mines as well is why doesnt the denominator cancel itself out because they are different. 3+square root of 3 times 3- square root of 3. I would think just equal one because they are different from each other.

LOL So, I kept not watching it till the very end and I was like "I'm doing everything correctly I thought and I don't understand how I'm not getting it" so I watch it to the end and it was because I had kept only watching till you used foil thinking it's easy street from there on and wondering why it wasn't the same till she pointed out what I got.
