Humans have travelled the world for centuries by sea, and while it's far safer now than at any time in the past, unexpected events still, occasionally, result in them sinking. Incredibly it's believed that there are as many as 3 million shipwrecks lying on the ocean floor… with some dating back as far as 10 thousand years ago… and we only know where just a fraction of them are located. And the story behind how they became sunken and destroyed is a story you'll want to hear. Let's take a look at 15 of the most incredible sunken ships.

How is the Edmund Fitzgerald not on this list? I would think it is #2 only behind the Titanic in familiarity…

Why/how do you not have Pearl Harbor listed? The USS Utah & Oklahoma and of course The USS Arizona. Probably the most visited sunked ships that is now a memorial to the lost 2400+(1700 on The Arizona) crewmen and because of it's massive historically important events of modern history.

Nice video! I was working onboard of the World Discoverer the day it sank. I have to point out 2 things about your video.
1. in the "clips sections" the World Discoverer is the Mediterranean Sky, but this is not important.
2. 15:58 "luckly" is really the wrong word. I made a video where I explain what really happened during the evacuation. If you see it, you understand why "luck" it's not the word.

While talking about the pair of wrecks in Lake Michigan a painting of a British warship of a much earlier age is shown. Overall an informative and fun video but mistakes like that make me question some of the other pics.

Great video, thanks. There's another one here on YT comparing depths of wrecks and quite a few of the vessels named get an explanation of what they were and how they met their end in this video. Grand stuff.

#2; why do you show a huge oil tanker and then talk about it being built as a cargo ship and an armed aircraft transport?

Although you think it’s the Titanic it is probably the Britannic that was made in 1914.

love you're videos, the Titanic is the most over rated ship wreck out, there are so many more with much more history to them, this was just a one hit wonder, even the amount of lives lost is relatively small compared to some of the others.
