I never knew that intersectionality was seen as an unfair advantage at first. Nor did I really know the background of intersectionality. I really love that you go back to the roots to explain things instead of just explaining what it is mostly used for now, because for me it helps understand things a lot better when I know how it started and why. Your content is the best.

How did you become so amazing? I love how you have everyone’s best interest in mind and don’t just talk about things that are about you personally. I think that’s what makes you such a great advocate because you think about the whole picture. Love love LOVE this!! Have you read Patricia Hill Collins’ work? She’s another black feminist who talks about intersectionality and builds specific framework for looking at those intersecting oppressions (the matrix of domination). Everyone who can absolutely should read Black Feminist Thought! It really delves into black women’s perspective, looking at history, controlling images, and more. And it’s not written with a bunch of academic jargon (intentionally, to be accessible).
