Here is an ACTUAL list of things you need from a recent college grad...

You don't need bed risers... some dorms have actual bed risers. I would call ahead if you can and ask. Buy ACTUAL dishes. At least two plates, bowls, and some silverware. It is so much nicer than plastic silverware. A shower caddy is not essential if you live in a suite with more than one bathroom...And for the love of GOD, you do NOT need a mattress pad/topper... The beds are a lot more comfortable than people say they are. In regards to school supplies, bring a notebook, pens, pencils, a folder, headphones, notecards, highlighters, and laptop for the beginning of the year and then go from there.
