Draw what you see, not what you think you see!
Brilliant tutorial, you're an incredible teacher :)

The most useful thing I learned from my technical drawing classes was simplifying shapes. In some cases it's pretty complicated, but in general, drawing the sketch with just squares and triangles helps a lot. You can even try to get the vanishing points which makes it much easier afterwards. This obviously doesn't work for when you paint directly with ink 😜

This was massively helpful! Forshortening is definitely one of my person weaknesses so I learned so much from this video! 😊

I find that once you have drawn the perspective lines you can get the decreasing width of successive bays of windows by drawing diagonals of each bay.

Excellent. Perhaps you could add...
As you were drawing some of them I was thinking they looked "wrong". But then at the end when I saw them again, they were suddenly "right ". I do think with beginners like me it's useful to draw, and then take a walk so you can come back and see it with fresh eyes. Foreshortening is like that. I also often take a photo. And then it's as if I see it better.
But thanks for the tutorial. Very useful.
