UK's Food Waste Crisis - Vertal's sustainable recycling solution

A British company has unveiled an sustainable solution to the UK's food waste crisis ... and laid down a recycling challenge to the Government.

Vertal opened the first of a new breed of hi-tech composting plants turning waste food into carbon positive fertiliser to grow new food.

Now, it says, the Government must act quickly to adopt the breakthrough technology if it is to achieve its promise to solve the UKs chronic food waste problem within two years.
