How Do Bats Spread Disease Without Getting Sick?

Bats carry a lot of infectious diseases but they never get sick. How can this be?

I would have a hard time choosing between immunity to fire + smoke and immunity to sickness, then I thought if I was immune to fire I could just grill myself (or sit in a bonfire) to just kill any germs inhabiting me and then I wouldn't be sick. The only drawback is I would be constantly sterilizing my gut so I would have to work out a way to constantly replenish all the beneficial bacteria that I would be killing off.

I think bats are cute..especially the Fruit Bats...I have 2 bats in my house...They are BASEBALL bats..LOL  They are made of wood....Heh! Heh!
