Many men and women today measure righteousness as something that is based on one's good works. Those who give charity, those who are religious, those who help their neighbor and show acts of kindness are righteous, while those who don't do those things, but go about committing crimes against people and society are unrighteous. God views righteousness in another way: on whether a person has received the forgiveness of sins through faith and obedience to Jesus. In that regard, we have to examine a man in Acts 10 named Cornelius. Was this man righteous before this chapter? In Lesson 33 of our study of Acts we learn the answer to this question.
