How to Crochet Around Rocks Step by Step | Random Acts of Crochet Kindness

I was so inspired by Hooked by Robin's Video about Random Acts of Crochet Kindness that I wanted to participate here in the U.S as well. I live near the beach so I decided to make crochet rocks.
In this video you will find a step by step on how to design your own crochet rocks and then a pattern to show you the steps in action.
Even if you aren't interested in RAOCK, these stones make a great gift as paperweights, door stops or grouped together in a bowl.
You'll get addicted to making these!

A Fingering weight yarn would be a great introduction to working with a smaller hook and yarn if you aren't used to thread.

What a fantastic, fun idea. I have a grandson who paints rocks and leaves them for people to take if they like or leave for others to enjoy. The smooth beach rock we get near us comes in a variety of colours. So I can also see using a thread of a different colour although the cream is lovely.
