Why Ambition Makes You Lonely

If you're someone with ambition who wants more out of life then you're probably pretty lonely.

Trust me, I've been there...

Even though I had many friends in high school and throughout my life, I always felt like an outsider. And it only got worse once I got into self-improvement and started my first online business.

I was working all day by myself, not socializing and craving any form of human connection.

In this video, I go through the different stages of overcoming the 'lone wolf' syndrome and building a circle of like-minded friends that you can grow with together.

The biggest issue I've run into is most of my friends are either only interested in going out and drinking or they are married. I sometimes wonder how heavily motivated is my drive for success by the fact that making friends seems like a harder task

I think I'm at the stage of trying to convince myself that networking doesn't have to be a waste of time😅 it does seem like the toughest things to get going are the most likely to develop exponentially, making them worthwhile.
Great video again Leon👏

Can relate a lot. Finding people to bounce off ideas and be peers is challenging for sure. Networking and finding is a skill. The internet and social media was super useful once I started to actually reach out to people 🤙🏼🙏🏻 great vid

Not me: I'm Alone, but not *Lonely* - I love having my own personal space to dive into creating my dreams. I have a group of friends whenever I feel social or want some fun with others. But I never feel lonely.

This video is amazing, man; instead of JUST being motivational, you're actually helping people. Keep doing what your doing! 🙏🏽

I just consulted my therapist about this because it sucks. The more I am searching and acting on self improvement, the more that I am feeling lost and alone from my peers.

I thought I was going insane because everytime I am socializing I felt like I am wearing a mask.

Its comforting to finally hear that what I am experiencing is normal.

More videos on this please 😆😆 so far ur the only youtuber that talked about this issue.

I completely resonate with this. By 33 I have 5 university degrees, and now a dentist on $150k/year. While I made lots of new friends at Uni, post-uni it’s become more lonely as I’ve had to disregard “friends” who were anchors (holding me back) rather than wind in my sails. It happens man 🤔

Wow! Just wow. This is exactly how I feel. I was never able to discribe how I feel about me and my friends, but this is exactly how I feel. I have read all the comments and the community! I love all the like-minded, but still open-minded, people here. I really hope this community is something that can grow, so every lone wolf can click with someone eventually!

This is exactly how I feel. Thanks for making this video, fellow creator here. People around me probably think I’m crazy or a workaholic 😂
I’m always working, or learning things to fulfill my creative itch.

This really hit me hard. Since I started university and moved into my own apartment, I have been lonely. It has become better over time because now I have some friends and a girlfriend, but it still hits me sometimes. The thing is, I have such different interest than them. All the people I know, are only worried about the next weekend and partying, while I enjoy studying and trying to figure out how to make money. I enjoy investing, I work in a startup besides my studies, and I enjoy reading. The funny thing about your video is about being a lone wolf which I can relate to so much - I have a wolf tattooed on my back, exactly because of the symbolism of being able to survive alone until you meet your pack. I have never really spoken about my loneliness so thank you for letting me know, that there are people out there, who has the same feeling as me!

Great video, cheers from Denmark :)

man, everything you said was 100% equivalent to what I've been experiencing the last two years. It's good to know there are other people out there who feel the same way as you. It could be a lonely road but it doesn't have to. You just need to open up and you'll find dozens (if not hundreds) of people who are on the same path as you, and form some of the best relationships of your life. Thanks for the video, Leon <3

Only at times when you realize not everyone is as motivated as you, but it helps when you put yourself out there or happen to be doing something where there's a sense of community involved.

"Of course I couldn't just go, I had to set a goal" haha I can relate to this. Thanks for the video. I have had very similar experiences of feeling like I've been leading a double life and feeling lonely in a room of people. Loneliness has been a huge one for me too but admitting that this is how I have been feeling has actually helped me focus on the quality of my relationships and being more open and honest with myself and other people who want that.

This video feels like it was tailor-made for me. I just found out your channel through your other video on spending 50k on fake gurus and stumbled upon this one. I seriously thank you for having made this video. I'm at that stage where I have zero entrepreneurial friends around me and at times it really does feel lonely, even though I love my solitude. Your video was one of the few that really added something useful to me. Thanks a lot man, and never stop doing what you're doing. You just got a new subscriber and you can be sure I'll be here to congratulate you when you hit your 100k and then your 1 million subscribers ;) Um abraço do Rio, Deus te abençoe!
