I have seen LC defined two different ways. 1) the improvement in actual time it takes to execute a task or operation, and 2) the improvement in AVERAGE time it takes to execute a task or operation. If unit 1 takes 100 hours, and unit 2 80 hours, then the 1) is 80%, but 2) is 90%. Which one is used or is correct? Or are both correct, you have to be given which framework you are working in?
