Just shows that even on a bad day, being free of the pressures of society is the ultimate happiness.

I wish my wife felt the same... Van life is my goal even if i'm going to do it alone!

Depends on your mindset...you need some structure to be stable and happy overall.I see alot of campers rotting in their RVs and hiding in them. Not me, I chose this lifestyle because of the typical living situation I found too restrictive . 7 years of vandwelling for me. NO REGRETS. Its not a life of coveinence, I assure you, but a life of trying to rekindle the essence of freedom that leases dont fullfill. Remember, leases are LEASHES! Live unfettered, live life your way, not that of a endentured servant!

One reason why I adore this channel: They NEVER start with "What's up YouTube, it's your boy (fill in the blank)" and they never end with "Be sure to click like and subscribe and click the bell for notifications".

That was beautiful. I can't wait to join you and others like you guys. Still in the process of completing my bus. When I finish up at my job I'll be selling all my vehicles, renting or selling my house and stuff, then I'll be living free closer to the land and people.

Read the book (not the movie) "Nomadland" by Jessica Bruder. Everyone she met during her time with the van dwellers immediately gushed about how great things were. It was only after getting to know her that they let their guards down and started to tell her about some of the devastating circumstances that brought them there. I understand that many people happily choose this life, but most people living in vehicle do so because our society is failing to take care of vulnerable people.

I've lived this way, except without a vehicle I had tarps and my bike. I prayed for a shower, a hot meal and a shelter bed. I was happier living in my apartment, with my music, my job, my bathtub, my garden, my still was inspiring

This is so well timed! I love your message! Yesterday I met a man at a florists shop and shared a pare of oranges. I was walking to Berkeley looking for AntiTrump rallys. "Civilization isn't civil" sparked a 90 minure sit down discussion about living on little. Life changing conversation that I'm lucky to have his name!

My fiance and I were just accepted for the loan we need to buy our bus, renovate it for our needs, and hopefully move in within the year~
That's how videos like this have impacted my life, and it's that same impact I hope to have on other people.
A lot of people look at you like you're crazy when you talk about getting rid of your stationary life, and living on the road for a few years; my goal is to make people see that what we're doing is so much closer to living then what 90% of our peers are doing, and that not only is it doable, but it's preferable to the standard "get a desk job, a mortgage, and a family" pack that many buy into at a young age.
(Not that there is anything wrong with settling down and having a family, it just doesn't have to be something you do it your 20s.)

Thank you for this!! I'm laying in the guest room of a friend of a friend's home tonight. Looking around at their fancy house and hearing about their careers has made me feel small and insecure (100% self induced). Your video brought tears to my eyes and reminded me of why I have chosen the vanlife. There is so much to cherish, be proud of and to grow from with this lifestyle. We all pick different paths but I am on this one for a reason. Grateful for this reminder tonight. So much love out to you two! <3 Ella @expandingexplorers

I'm a home-body, not drawn towards nomadic life. Watching these various videos from sleeping in cars to building Schoolies, has had a positive effect on me. I have been getting rid of meaningless clutter, material or otherwise. It causes me to better focus on the things I love most. Thanks to all of you in the lessons you teach.

That's what life is about, finding your place of happiness....and for you all you have been true to yourselves.

This is your best video yet! I have a plan for next I am going to build a vegan food trailer, travel the country doing events (pulling it behind an RV), and feed the homeless along the way. You guys have really inspired more than you know. I'd like to keep in touch with you. I am certain we will cross paths. Thank you.

Just sitting in dirt 24/7 would drive me crazy. I just can’t shut my brain off like that. To each his own.

OUTSTANDING!!! This is like my mantra. Experiences over things! Wish I would have realized this earlier in life, but better late than never! (and still not too late, all things considered)

Bravo:) My friend has a small camper in NC on the coastal waterway, he can see the water and he has a small fishing boat. His lot rent and elec is cheap and i am jealous. I know a mechanic that traded his huge home for a camper and he parks it behind his shop, he said he was never so happy. This modern day slavery is BANKS and payments.
