Never use Low Power Mode on iPad Pro! #shorts #iPadPro

How to use Low Power mode on iPad - Actually there is no need to turn it on because the experience is so much worst using low power mode on iPad that you hardly use your iPad for 2 min. FPS suddenly drops to 30-60 from Pro motion and display brightness irritates a most! The experience of low power on iPhone is more likely perfect but when it comes to iPad users are probably not using and get rid of it. What you think? Do you use low power mode on your iPad share your views in comments…

Personally to reduce power consumption rather than just using low power mode, …I find it’s much better to edit the location service settings, system service settings, background app refresh settings and turn email push to fetch.

If you really want to squeeze the most from the battery on the iPad Pro models you can also use accessibility/motion/limit frame rate. This will bring the cap down to 60hz.

It’s perfect if the most demanding thing your doing is just watching videos etc. Scrolling etc remains very smooth. Games will still run as well as an m1 iPad Air or better and then you can just manually turn it off if your wanting to play a game at up to 120hz refresh rate.

Another great method to save battery on the 12.9 XDR display models only is accessibility/motion/dim flashing lights.

This mode automatically dims flashing or strobing effects in videos reducing the peak brightness from 1600 to the standard Pro Displays 600nits max brightness only effecting the flashing/strobing effects areas. If you want the max 1600nits peak brightness effects on while watching HDR content you can just turn it off again.

Accessibility/motion/reduce motion. As well as accessibility/motion/prefer cross-fade animations will also reduce battery consumption while using the IPadOS GUIs.

If you find yourself always moving from dim to very brightly lit locations, or working outside in bright light a lot, and the auto brightness keeps taking over and putting the brightness much higher than needed, …it can actually be better to turn off auto-brightness by going to accessibility/display and text size and scrolling to the bottom. Then just leave the screen brightness on minimum or very low and only turn it up when needed rather than it turning itself up and down all of the time.

I personally find using these methods are so much better than using low power mode, as you can just alter each setting individually to still optimise the iPads performance the way you want, while still drastically improving the battery life!

I hope this helps someone out!

All the very best!

For someone who relies entirely on my ipad pro to make notes read them, give tests etc.
Low power indeed makes sense especially when there is a light cut off episode or you have to sit long hours in coaching centres with scarce charging ports availability.

Sir I have iPad Pro M1 so after turning low power mode on it’s limits frame rate to 60fps now I have a doubt 🙋
1: in BGMI or pubg iPad Pro offer 90 fps in game .
After enabling low power mode
2 : iPad limits fps to 60 in home but shows 90 fps in pubg, while playing didn’t notice any differences ! Please try and answer me

I have ipad pro M2 12.9, low power mode actually saves battery by decreasing the refresh rate from 120 to like 45 or 50, so when I m using a application which requires less frames such as piano Netflix I use low power mode , never use low power mode while gaming cause it will totally ruin your experience of 120hz

In low power mode it increases battery life and life of ipad and reduces heat u might not notice it gets very hot while charging and gaming near Apple logo if no proper ventilation provided the heat will got to the battery

Well low power mode stops your iPad from overheating I use it all the time when editing photos cause i don’t care about 120hz when editing still images and watching YouTube on the side. Makes my battery last twice as long.
