No Honda HR-V? At least give it an honorable mention. That’d be my choice for this class.

Cx30 is my pick at least with the turbo option. I highly value driving experience

As someone who’s leading a mid/level 2024 Taos I definitely agree with your category scores, I just hope I won’t have to worry about the reliability issues by the time they inevitably come

CX-30 would be my top pick: Class-leading cabin, reliable, attractive design, AWD, the right amount of features, decent dealerships, and a nice driving experience. Even the base engine has class-leading power. Every other option, other than the Crosstrek, comes with caveats IMO: Dealing with Hyundai/Kia dealers, underpowered, no available AWD, poor availability, a cheap cabin, or some combination of those caveats.

My cousin recently got a new Chevy Trax and loves it !❤ the tech is very fast! Thanks for the video

I'd have to choose the Encore . . maybe I'm prejudice since I bought a new 2021 Envision Avenir that I like ( I've only put 3, 500 miles on it, though - so nothing has gone wrong with it yet )

I love these videos because it’s straight to the point and the ranking system is easy to understand! Though I won’t be getting a new car any time soon, I like seeing what sub compact SUV’s are dominating each year

My pick is the TRAX. It's a car no one seems to want to like, but can't help but like it.

I’ve had a 2023 Corolla Cross Hybrid SE for a month now and I love it❤

It’s 2024 and no category for gas mileage? I think for many buyers this will be a strong consideration.

Great list! Very seriously considering the Encore GX. The Kona seems great too - but theft seems to be an issue hyundai is still struggling with

I must admit that the Envista looks great when I saw one out on the road recently. I'd probably end up in a Crosstrek if I had to pick one.

Excellent comparison as always! I’d either take the Seltos or the Crosstrek.

I looked at all of these small SUVs and my pick was the Corolla Cross hybrid! My reasons are fuel economy, reliability, safety features, styling, price and all wheel drive. Maybe it's me, but I also think it's fun to drive.

I love hrv. Wish it had more power with hybrid system, but even more a powerful Acura version which is so possible

I have always thought the Seltos was an underrated vehicle. Interesting that you have it as #1

Chevy Trax is my pick. Loaded with features, looks gr8, and a tremendous value. Hrv is in my top 10 and maybe my top 5.

Hi guys. Been watching your content for a while now, and I have to give you a compliment. I’ve been watching car evaluation channels for about 10 years now, and throughout most of that, Alex On Autos was the best out there, mainly because of his practical, clear, “everyman” focus and easy-to-understand ratings. He’s still great, but with the addition of other reviewers and, I think, a reduction in volume/coverage, his channels have declined a little. Meanwhile, you two started out great and have just gotten better. With the addition of your reliability/resale analysis and these fantastic breakdowns of whole segments, you are clearly the new champions! Just one comment/suggestion: the decibel ratings, while “objective” cannot be consistent with wind, road surface, etc. and there is also a difference in human perception where certain frequencies/patterns can be much more annoying than others at even the same sound level. I suggest you keep the decibel reading (because I don’t know what would work better as an objective measure), but ADD your own comments on your perceptions…did this car seem quieter/more serene or less, than a couple of the cars with the nearest decibel ratings. Much continued success to you! ❤️✌🏻✌🏻❤️
