Sandbox 101: Catalog Custom Attributes

Custom Attributes are a great way to store additional data on a Seller’s Catalog Items and Item Variations specific to your app.

For example, you might have a food delivery app that needs to track what catalog item should be deliverable. Or you might have an online marketplace that needs to track prep time for an order, or whether something can’t be sold online. Rather than modifying a Seller’s existing catalog items, you can use custom attributes to track data that just your app needs.

Custom attributes supports four different custom attributes types: boolean, string, number, and selection. There is also an option to allow Seller’s to adjust the values stored in these attributes, so they can make it easier for your app to work with their existing Catalog.
