Excel - Show Formulas Instead of Results Shortcut Key | Show Formulas in Specific Cells as Text

In this video I demonstrate how to display formulas instead of values or results in your Excel spreadsheet. You can either do this for an entire worksheet or for one or more specific cells.

If you want to display formulas for an entire worksheet you can either use the Show Formulas button on Excel's ribbon or use the shortcut key CTRL ` (grave accent).

If you want to show formula for specific cells as text in another cell, you will need to use the FORMULATEXT function.

Thanks man. Really needed to know how to display the formula for individual cells and not the whole spread sheet. You're a life saver.

I don't know why but all of a sudden my shortcut won't work. Some functions as selecting only the visible cell while filtering, using Alt + ";" is not working either. Does anyone know how to fix? Did I accidentaly change sth on the settings?
