I have been using virtual dj for years now, and their coding, ease of use, and bpm / song analysis for me are far advanced compared to other dj softwares I've used (serato included). What an amazing software!

As usual no matter what some say VDJ will always be the first to improve and the best DJ software in my opinion. This test just proved to me I've made the right choice 17 years ago. 🙏🏽❤️ ChefT

virtual DJ is the king of stems for now😎

VDJ has the best vocal separation. Serato gets the instrumentals/drums quite good. Djay in 3rd place overall and has now some work to do 😄

Brilliant stuff Phil (& the team) that’s exactly what we all wanted to see/ hear. Really glad you used single versions of records we all knew, and in different genres made it a clean test. At the moment agree virtual DJs winning it, still not 100% perfect but hey, it’s early days. Nice one.

Nice video Phil. VirtualDJ is always a step ahead of all software companies and always a testing ground for the rest sofwares (they create new things after a year or more the rest softwares would develop on it). Using VDJ since 2005 and 2011 VirtualDJ PRO till date.

Damn that Acapella on Mr. Brightside on VDJ made the Serato one sound like some old school inversion stuffs done in Audacity. Damn its so good. A few more iterations and no one will even bother trying to source Studio Acapella's any more for remixes. Dang. Not gonna sugar coat it but Algoriddim sounding god awful now side by side.

WOW! VDJ's new stems implementation is very impressive, and I agree Phil... it get's the nod over Serato with DJ Pro AI now left well behind. It'll be interesting to see what Algoriddm come up with next to compete in the stems arena. Of course, as an Engine user, stems are not a thing as of yet... but I see myself using stems features to make my own acapellas and instrumentals in advance vs. on the fly (for now). That's one of the great things about DJing, though. There are always new toys to play with. 😎

I agree VDJ is currently in the lead for quality. Anything can happen as the days go on. Hoping that one-day EngineDJ will do something like this even if processed ahead of time.

I have been a Serato fan since day 1. But when I got a hold of VDJ, I was sold! VDJ is actually killing the competition!

Like always VDj leading the pack despite the hate! Another reason why I never left them since 2005.

Great video i feel like i could hear the Dua Lipa vocals still somewhat in the background when the vocal was muted on VDJ unless thats just some production noises to accentuate the vocal I'm hearing

The VDJ Voice Separation sounds high quality in comparision to the serato stems beta version, where it Sounds like a 32kbs Version of it^^

And thanks for testing the Serato Version with the Controller I own, so I know I can keep it safely for this purpose^^

One question i have in mind: does the standalone department (Pioneer and Denon especially) also work in this feature?
Can't Imagine that they aren't, thats a really hot feature - all these new ways to mix Tracks, you wouldn't have thought of without editing them before mixing them.

Thanks for the Video, have a nice day :3

VDJ is still an early access, but so far it’s fantastic… BUT you need up to date hardware to benefit! Love VDJ!

I have been testing VDJ STEM 2.0, and there is one thing is talking about. You can use your EQ faders to adjust, customize or Bleed the STEM. I do not think the other software do not offer these items.
