Been a working DJ for a few years now - here's my two cents. If you are the kind of DJ that needs to be clutch no matter situation you find yourself in gig wise, virtual DJ is a no brainer IMO. VDJ automatically imported my serato and rekordbox playlists. It also exports Rekordbox thumb drives no problem if you play on CDJs at clubs. Works with literally any scratch mixer, dj controller, or DVS box I've plugged into my computer. Never crashes. You can seamlessly mix videos or add graphics to your dj sets. Great streaming music integration and livestreaming built in. You can spend the weekend DJing top 40 and karaoke in a dive bar on bad house equipment, playing house and UKG at a club on CDJs, and then playing a last minute after party on your friend's random setup with zero fuss.

Thanks for the vid. my buddy has a DDJ-XR that hes giving me a decent deal on it. I originally wanted Serato because he mistakenly told me it was an SX2, then found out its only Rekordbox, and more recently Im fionding more and more research and features leaning me towards virtualdj (what ive been using pre owning a controller).

Can I use DDJ-XR on VDJ?

hi, you forgot to talk about the remix decks on traktor :D. Well i use mainly serato and rekordbox, but at home im happy with traktor. The dvs and mapping capabilities are still the best. The vinyl resolution and precision its very good. You can map everything. (Virtualdj has also has very good midi mapping capabilities.). At the end it doesnt matter. Just focuse on your technique. :D. Djay pro its very good for a portable system, dvs and stems. I dont like the layout and graphics of virtualdj. At the club the best sound... traktor and rekordbox. Ahhh...the cheapest is traktor :)

Wanted to get a Numark NS4FX for the price and balanced XLRs but there is no way I'm paying £400 plus for Serrato pro. I know VDJ works with it, but the mapping doesnt. So back to Rekordbox and overpriced pioneer controllers.. As a side note.. i cant understand why Pioneer released the flx6 with no balanced xlr.. killed it for me.

Plenty of dj controllers outhere in the market...as a beginner and I try to understand the digital aspect of music and software programs...is there controllers able to accept the softwares on the market?
Do you need to necessarily have to have just one software on a controller?
What controllers work precisely with market software?
Is Apleton also another software that's outhere in the market??
Any guidance would really help me out during the process.
