Really enjoyed your deep dive, this album has grown on me over the years and hearing the RSD half speed really makes it a top favorite . It was great to see the doodles from your early years, isn't it strange that now at our age we are still enjoying this music after all these years! Glad I'm not the only one! Thanks for all that wonderful background information about the album. A terrible shame Denny Laine's I Would Only Smile. could not have been squeezed on. I have only recently come to know this album and I love it. I think I like the second disc as much as the actual album. I have the 2 CD edition.

Once again, a fantastic deep dive video of Mr. Beatley Tone! Thanks a lot for that. Great to hear about the background of this album. I was aware that it was planned as a double album, but the tension due to the recording, especially with Glyn Johnes, was new to me. Red Rose Speedway will spin in my CD player later this day, when I have finished my road bike ride in the afternoon. I am not sufficient familiar with most of the songs to argue against your ranking, so I fully trust in your professional review. One last remark: for me, Wings is always seen as Paul's backing band, however, I also understand Paul's wish to see the band as a proper band. I think, Paul's 1989 to 1993 band line up was a more consistent band as wings ever where, but that's my view only. Best regards from Bavaria, Tone!

Hi Tone, brilliant & interesting in-depth review on Wings red rose speedway, this is one of my favourite Albums by wings, I’m always listening to it on Spotify, I keep the vinyl in mint condition, I also have the original copy of the album & also have the archive collection of red rose speedway & also RSD issue of it in 2023 . Hi Tonny and sorry it took me so long to get to this on. You know I have been so busy with helping out King Charls 👑lol!!! I do like this Album, and I just recently got it as a RSD Vinyl!!! And wow I do think out of all of the different copy that I have this one is the best Paul and Wings 👐one mate 🥲. Great info a lot of it I didn't know lol!!! WOW now that is so cool what the back dose say good to know lol. I will tell all my Beatles friend that. 😂 Your Vinyl dose look mint Like you were saying this Album is definitely under rated and you are right on with you rating list!!!! I do like the B side a lot to The Mess is a good one. But yes, there Sood have been some more good rockers + the TV Special was a good one I do like that one a lot too!!! Great video as always and tell King Charls I will bring back the New Rolls Royce soon lol. All the best to you my friend😉!!!

Just halfway through and will return later after a live chat. I will just say I never cared for this album until the box set came out. It was the first time I really listened to the whole album. I even love the melody at the end. For me, overall I'd give the album a 9 out of 10. I know some fans don't care for Little Lamb Dragonfly... but it's a gorgeous song and one of his best.

This was a great deep dive Tone! I have always liked this album. I remember reading the Rolling Stone Record Guide back in the 80s and they gave this album one star so I avoided it for years and finally bought it in 1990 and I really enjoyed it. I still love the medley on side 2. I do like the reimagined double album as well but the single album is my preferred choice. Thanks again!

Nice one Tone. Got the album, watched the James Paul McCartney ATV special and saw them at the Hammersmith Odeon. Who would have thought Band On The Run was just around the corner?

Enjoyed the vid as always BT. This album sat on my shelf for decades and I only recently came to fully appreciate it. The Half Speed sounds terrific. Single Pigeon is an absolute joy and I love the medley. Have to agree to disagree on that one.😊. Keep up the great work Tone.

Another brilliant deep dive into what's for me one of Paul's greatest ever albums & my favourite Wings albums yip even better than the album that was to follow! Unlike some I also love the what was to be original double album even though there were 2 of 3 contradictions over the final track listings finally sorted by McCartney himself, There's not a bad track on it & yes My Love has taken some stick throughout the years but every Macca album has at least one big ballad & for me this is top notch! A brilliant video again Tone & thanks.
