It’s so upsetting, that the ANTM judges would rather insult the contestants, instead of giving them any form of constructive feedback that will allow them to improve, in the areas they are lacking in.

One of the episodes I remember vividly was during one of the boy/girl seasons with Nyle (a Deaf model) where the photoshoot was done with strobe lights (which is already a safety issue). I remember it so distinctly because of how incredibly ablest it was! The creative director and the photographer were yelling at him and getting mad that he couldn't get the cues right because he could see his interpreter due to the flashing lights. They excused their behavior because "well you expect shoots to accommodate you all the time???" and I remember sitting there (as a disabled person) going, "Yes." It was so pointless and unnecessarily cruel, any normal photographer would've just paused the lights to communicate with him.

This shoe challenge makes me so mad because I know now that those shoes come with a warning in the box that says DO NOT WALK IN THESE. They are literally a hazard and the manufacturer says they are not meant to walk in, you are only supposed to dance in them as they are for pole dancing. Its infuriating that they would have known that and made those girls try to walk in them anyway.

Evil, Danni talking about “you can’t choose where you come from. People need to be more open minded” is peak, white cognitive dissonance.
Why are people supposed to be more “open minded” towards you being close minded towards people. Lawd

it’s pretty obvious now that everyone in a position of power on this show absolutely relished in the cruelty they got away with. I don’t buy that whole ‘the industry is cruel so we have to be cruel to you’ excuse. imagine if Tyra had actually taken this opportunity to influence the next generation of models and set a good example instead of making fun of their appearance, ruining their hair, making them get cosmetic procedures, and pretending to pass out. but that doesn’t make for good tv I guess. even as a kid I knew something was off. I’m glad this is off the air now.

"this is a competition not americas next top best friend" gives off the same energy as "i don't have to be your friend to win this show ??? this is not ru paul's best friend race" 😭😭

I have been fat my entire life *and* watched practically every episode of every season of ANTM as it premiered. You can imagine what that's done for my self image 😅 there was a season where one of the girls named Kenya (i think?) gained probably 5 lbs over the course of the season and you would have thought she'd ballooned up like the blueberry kid from Willy Wonka overnight. They took every opportunity to call her fat that they could and at the time watching i remember being brainwashed into thinking "Well, you do have to be thin if you want to be a model, girl 🤷🏼‍♀️"

The OG of Wild West reality television.

I feel like Tyra sees the trauma as a right of passage for the girls, she was traumatized in some ways and now she feels like she’s earned the right to do it to the models

barely 3min and we're already calling the judges and producers soulless entities, I just KNOW this video is going to eat

I would be genuinely so pissed if they took out four of my teeth and then I didn’t win

There’s a woman who was so traumatized by her experience on antm tht she became a fundamentalist catholic influencer after her cycle

This show was my roman empire as a kid lol. It baffled me how they were not models, coming to a modeling competition expecting to learn about modeling, but being taught absolutely nothing about modeling. Just thrown into wild af challenges that have literally nothing to do with anything. Plus it always rubbed me the wrong way that they had those drastic makeovers. Like, why though? Makeup and a wig will do just fine. Plus Tyra was such a jealous bully it’s so sad.

I think you hit the nail on the head with the judges ripping down these ladies' self-esteem. There are right ways to critique someone's art without it being a personal attack. All those girls are incredibly beautiful, but they are still young women feeling themselves out!

The way Gina got bullied was criminal. Also I love the fact that you model 🫶🏾 I’m a model too. I find it so funny how everything on the ANTM wouldn’t fly today😭😂

Joanie talks about her teeth in her Oliver twixt interview a couple years ago. She says she’s very grateful for the dental work and has all the same bridges in her mouth that she got done back then and that they show continued to pay for her dental work after the show til the job was finished, but she does eventually have to get them worked on again because there are a couple problems

Clicked on the video for how GORGEOUS you are, stayed for the personality. You’re so natural on camera, I wish you so much success on this platform
Well you being a model makes so much more sense now lmfao. I wrote my comment too early on
