I do salt pepper garlic and onion powder and I cook my onions in butter gives it better flavor and the buns I toast with mayo

Nope slow cook the onions till they are see threw then add the steak 🧂 on one side . Add oil ( I use sunflower) salt side goes down. Blood starts coming up flip. Cheese goes on top. Tap bowl lay on top drop a little bit of water under with it. Take your roll open lay on flat top take off bowl place roll on top scoop up. Add what ever you want.

Most legit Philly steak places say low and slow
Not chard is or colored I get that’s what you want on a steak but not very thin sheets of beef or it becomes dry my dude

Half an onion for one Philly? No peppers? no horseradish Philly mustard? No Philly cheese? No proper cheesesteak beef? No Philly hoagie? Like I appreciate you and have no doubt that sandwich made precum happen but like who in Philadelphia said yeah that’s basically it…it’s not so sunny in Philadelphia today. One more thing the leaf it’s so small that you could miss it but every average Charlie knows it.

Season the steak with salt and pepper or a salt, pepper and garlic powder mixture. Place the roll on top of the steak for a he seconds and scoop the steak into the roll with one scoop
