When I was learning to drive, around 10 years ago, I was taught to park around 1ft away from the curb. I remember watching so many YouTube videos to learn how to parallel park so I could park closer to the curb or so I don't get hit by other cars driving past, on narrow roads

one of the most annoying part when parallel parking, i always ended up being far from the curb and had to do small adjustments, now i know that i need to be very close to the curb, thanks Aman

You can also do this using your mirror and the rear door handle. When the rear door hand in the mirror lines with the curb edge turn the wheel until the car straightened (my dad taught me how to parallel park with only 3 wheel turns and this tip and I can park in a paper cut for 26 years!)

It's easy when you have that much space 😅

That is if the parking isnt tight and you got like 30 meters to park. If you got two cars forward and behind and you're trying to park just right by having at best 2 meters difference from both cars, things get a bit more tricky.

I can only do this if the space is on my left. On the right is so much harder for some reason!

I'm Dutch and I was taught to line up the back seat with the back of the car next to me, then steer in sharp. No straightening as you want to be able to get out the same way you got in (unless you got room but at that point you might as well park normally).

Everyone with B class driving licence can tow small trailer. Do you practice driving with trailer, reversing, parking. Here in Norway all this is normal during driving course
