My Dad used to work at Walmart when old Sam was still around. Dad says that when he would stop at our store he was always wearing an Elmer fudd like hunting hat, with a flannel button-down, with a shirt underneath it, tucked into his khakis always wearing tennis shoes. He also recalls Sam being a great human, always down to earth.

Being from Bentonville, can confirm that the Sam Walton story is accurate. His kids took turns being the CFOs and board members. Sam was actually a great dude, and pretty sure he’s rolling in his grave to see how his stores treat their associates.

Story 1: The fact that Bro said "What did I do to you" more than once shows that he shown no remorse for what he did and will NEVER change his ways. This guy is so dense, that he couldn't comprehend why OP did this. You screwed OP over, now HE is screwing you over.

Man, Walmart sure has gone downhill since Mr. Sam Walton passed, he’d be ROLLING in his grave if he heard some of the bullshit that goes on at our Walmart.
—A soon to be FORMER Walmart employee

Damn, didn’t mean to start a chain shitting on Walmart lmaooo. Here’s hoping my employers don’t see this BEFORE I can quit

I saw Sam Walton once at a Walmart. He was sweeping the floor and talking to employees. I only knew who he was because the cashier told us he was the owner of Walmart.

Story one: Bro sucks. What's the point of making an enemy out of your roommate? And why the heck would you trust them not to screw you over after you make an enemy out of said roommate?

Story 1: If you're going to plan to do illegal stuff, maybe DON'T pi$$ off the people around you, because at the worst, they'll rat you out. While that didn't happen here, OP definitely got revenge for being robbed and screwed over.

Honestly, nobody needs someone like Bro in their lives

Really sad to see how far the Walton family has fallen. Sam Walton went to bat for his employees. The modern Walton family spends billions to found an art gallery that none of their employees can ever afford to attend.

Better pro revenge story than that first one: I have a very stupid, scammy, abusive uncle. This is a man who bitched about his first wife, a daughter of law enforcement, having postpartum depression after giving birth to his only child so he took her down to Florida "on vacation", told her he was going to get sodas for them, and then literally abandoned her there 1, 000 miles from home on a random Florida beach with a newborn. His own wife. So it gives my heart some joy to let you know when he actually moved to Florida and remarried, he had gotten mixed up with very sketchy Columbians and tried to involve my poor grandmother with them too as he was the golden baby. It turns out they had enough of his shit too and wanted him to divorce his wife. So on a trip back from Columbia, they 'gifted' him some plant thing to take with him... but they 'buried' a bag of white powder in the pot. Well, TSA caught it right away, and apparently my uncle shit himself in fright. My uncle had no idea what it was, but considering the man absolutely did drugs while he was down there, he thought it was so fucking over.

Well, the powder ended up just being something like baking soda. They fucking ghosted him, he did what they wanted, and everyone moved on with their lives. He didn't learn to become a better man from the fear of God being instilled in him, but such is life of insufferable narcissists. But we don't forget what *really* happened.

Story 2: All he had to do was install the engine Grandpa asked him to install. Why Earl didn't do that, IDK, but it would've saved him from losing his business.

This is probably the biggest escalation of petty roommate drama I've ever heard lol

Sam walton telling the employee to go try again for the loan (which is now loaned by himself) has the same energy as finding out Rosa Parks' husband had a car.

First Story: I dont think OP missed his chance i think he more or less knew that he could fuck him up that bad but only wanted to get back at him a bit not completly ruining his life. So it seems like he just made the choice to not report him to the cops.

Story 1: While the revenge would have been more climactic if OP had reported Bro to the cops, the fact OP would have then been paying tax dollars to continue to house Bro in prison for at least five years probably would have put a damper on things. His way was more economical in the end.

The first story is petty revenge. If he didn't lie about the cops and report Bro for smuggling coke it would be deliciously pro revenge. Besides in that case, Bro would have his housing solved for at least 5 years.

I feel like OP in the first story gets 0.5 AH for not allowing the roommate to go through with his mule attempt, and call customs on him since he had his exact itinerary.

Instead he let someone who is more than willing to deal hard drugs, who'll likely sell more than weed if able.

Minimum 5 years if you get caught smuggling weed in the airport is usually a minimum of 10 years for anything that's cocaine or higher

Dude, OP literally pulled a Big Fat Liar on Bro.
