humm just as a extra note about the greetings, some gestures may have a different significance on other cultures/religions so using the "namaste" as if it was something worldly understood its indian greeting can be confusing or taken wrong.
(like in my country, it would be taken as "why are you praying at me? or are you begging me for something? are you begging for your life?") So its important
Id rather use the japanese reverence or with the hand on the heart with a small nod in a corteous way.

I really appreciate your etiquette videos, very informative. Also, you never know when knowing these things will come in handy. Thank you 😊

Instead of a namaste I prefer to do a nod/tilt of the head for acknowledgement. Similar to how people do a slight bow in some Asian countries.

In Thailand we call that hand gesture "Wai" = ไหว้. It's our normal way of greeting and leaving.

The Namaste is brilliant! It is the traditional greeting in India, and here is Sri lanka we say 'Ayubowan', with the same hand gesture, which means 'may you live long!' sadly all of these things changed when we were colonized. I'm happy at least COVID-19 is making us shift back to some of our older values.

How has no one mentioned that his suggestion could be viewed as cultural appropriation? 🤷‍♀️😷

Is it rude to give someone my number while she's working? What's the polite way to give someone your number? Is it rude to ask for the other person's? Thanks!

"Namaste" is the correct and best way to greet in all times.... Thank you William.

I love your advice and have missed seeing your YouTube videos. I must say, however, that masks and the six foot distancing are redundant.

Fun fact. Namaste really means.... Nama STAY WHERE YOU ARE! DON'T COME NEARER!

1.How about hand ✋ wave rather than nomasta 🙏?
2.why you think 🙏, it not royalty?
3.What makes you feel 🙏 is proper way to go, why not study with other cultures, rather than India?
