Having 2 species from 2 different planets being not only similar to eachother but also compatible is literally impossible. The most accepted theory in all fiction with humanoid aliens (Eg: StarWars, StarTrek...) is that an ancient proto humanoid civilization colonized the entire galaxy and then collappsed, leaving the inhabitants to evolve according to their planet's needs.

Its not logical they would evolve like us. Look at the diversity of life on earth. By your logic, every species should look human.
