I’m so thankful that this officer wasn’t alone! This has happened way to much in my area, so all of the police Chiefs and Sheriffs got together and decided said their officer’s lives were more important than any road side test. Y’all are always my our thoughts and prayers! 💙🖤💙🖤💙🖤

Oh my god! Poor lady. What risks officers go thru every day. Thank god she was not alone. Just terrifying to know how bad this drug is. I hope she is okay and no side effects. So scary. Thank you for saving her. This makes me so upset that we have such toxic chemicals being sold to people and used recreationally. It is horrific.

This is NOT an OD but more so an anxiety attack. You can touch fentanyl all day long, the drug has to get into your blood system either that be inhaling it, cracks in your hand etc. Often times when people see it and get close to it they think they were exposed and have a panic attack and they start mimicking the signs of an OD. When you have someone that is ODing they will start to gasp for air, turn blue etc, Not to mention when she got hit with Narcan she immediately came back to life, Yes Narcan is fast acting but not that fast via nasal spray.

WHY ARE'NT DRUG DEALERS OVER DOSING ON THAT STUFF SINCE THEY CARRY IT AROUND A LOT ? DOESNT MAKE SENSE IF ITS THAT POWERFUL !

Nope. According to research, you cannot OD by coming into contact with fentanyl and these incidences are more in line with panic attacks. "The American College of Medical Toxicology and the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology issued a joint report in 2017 asserting the risk of fentanyl overdose via incidental transdermal exposure is very low, and it would take 200 min of breathing fentanyl at the highest airborne concentrations to yield a therapeutic dose, but not a potentially fatal one (Moss et al., 2018)."

YOU CAN NOT OD ON FENTANYL JUST BY TOUCHING TRACE AMOUNTS ON RANDOM OBJECTS.

Did she shoot it? You cannot be exposed to fentanyl just by touching it.

This seems a little fishy to me. You cannot overdose from touching fentanyl. It has to enter your bloodstream somehow. Even if there were endtrails floating around the car, it wouldnt be enough to OD her like this. Transdermal (meaning through the skin) takes an hour minimum and there has to be a very significant amount (basically she'd have to stick her arm in a bag of it) for it to be THAT effective. I was a long time heroin user (by the grace of God I'll be clean 3 years this month) and I've seen too many of these instances, not proud of it, but something about this situation is not being told to the public.

My best guess is that she's having an anxiety or panic attack and fainted knowing she touched a possible deadly substance. She probably failed to regain full consiousness because they kept loading her to naltrexone and her brain wasnt getting enough oxygen. This whole "you can OD just by looking at the shit" is dangerous misinformation and could prevent somebody from saving a life. Imagine seeing a person OD'ing but being scared to help because their bag is laying next to them.

Something isn’t right here. Why are we only hearing about cops overdosing? Why aren’t the EMTs who respond to overdoses also succumbing like this cop? Medical professionals are also casting doubt on whether this was really a fentanyl overdose.

Ok, this is not Fentanyl. I don't know what it is but this is not Fentanyl. My first guess is that she experienced a totally unrelated neurological event like epilepsy or something in that category. It could even be a panic attack or something. This wasn't Fentanyl. She was wearing gloves and even if she wasn't topic substances take a h of a long time to get to the neurotransmitters. We won't hear about this again so I hope she's alright but everbody will use that footage to push whatever narrative they want and this is not Fentanyl.

Man that antidote is really potent stuff.

How are people even handling this if by touching it you immediately overdose? This seems impossible that something so toxic is used as pleasure because that was absolutely terrifying and had to be the scariest thing I've ever witnessed without a gun being involved and she was gone and they brought her back to life is incredible.

Time and time again it has been proven that you CAN'T overdose on fentanyl by touching, being in the same room as it, or even by inhaling unless it's a large concentrated dose. Yes, this applies to illicit fentanyl too. When someone overdoses on an opioid their breathing does not speed up it slows down. All these articles/videos cause unnecessary fear and may prevent people who see someone overdosing from helping.

They did studies on this. The officer is having some sort of placebo effect or panic attack.

This was a panic attack, you cannot absorb enough through your skin to cause any type of reaction.
