Change Mac Home Directory Path

In this video we show you how to change the path of your home directory on the Mac. By doing this, you can change your username and login with that. This is useful if you're giving the computer to someone else or you changed your name.

ok, so I changed the home directory and no my mac won't even open - how do i go back? Even in safe mode.. or via Terminal??

yo Mark--you wouldn't happen to know how to change the default download location for terminal? (e.g., when i use youtube-dl it puts the download in my home folder (cmd+shift+H) but i'd like it to go directly to my desktop

I changed my Home directory from Users/Marc to Users/Marc/NewFolder and restarted as required. Now all of my data is lost. But the apps are still installed. How do I get my data back?

Yeah, but, how do I move User account folders to different external drives. I need to move my user account folder to an external SSD and my wife's user account folder to a different external drive.
