Your methods and using a small scale actually worked. I got both Mr Knight and Moon Knight from the same trip and found them very quickly after weighing 15+ boxes at my local ASDA.

I looked crazy weighing the boxes but I’d rather look stupid than be stupid and waste money on figures I don’t want.

I think LEGO will see that this will be a disaster in the making. I am all for more sustainable packaging, but people are just going to rip these open in the store if they are not locked away. There must be an alternate way to do this and still be sustainable.

I went into the Lego store with the intent of finishing my set with Wolverine. With scale in hand found a box at 19.12 grams and nailed it. Thank you Lego community for crowd sourcing a solution. Worked pretty well for me.

We brought a scale into Walmart and went box by box until they were pretty confident with the ones they chose. And it worked!! You're the best, thanks!!!

I think at a local Lego store, since the staff have a list of characters for the series, they can figure out who is who. Might be an easier option as well.

Thanks man, That scale is really helpful, usually in some shops they have a weight section for the fruit so if you can just bring your figs over you can actually figure it out :)

The european boxes are different than the american boxes . Just2good did a review where he unboxed a full european box and the first figures were the same as you pulled : Agatha and Wolverine . So the american box has a different position where the characters are to europe .

LEGO should do a number system. I know Mattel has a number system for their Cars Mini Racers mystery boxes, where the last two numbers corresponding with a different character. And a friend of mine said Mega Construx has something like that too for their Halo stuff.

The codes on the boxes more likely are related to the manufacturing of the boxes. Millions of these boxes are printed using multiple printing presses. So if there’s an issue with the UPC’s or spelling it can be isolated to one press or another etc. I work in a printing with a dozen presses.

The scale is great, and for she hulk and beast, the more parts rattling around is a dead giveaway. Im gonna get the series through the 6 pack boxes, but this method will be great for the next cmf where i maybe only want a couple of figures

It's been years since codes happened in LEGO Minifigures since Series 1 & 2 in 2010. Great educational video, Ash! Hope I can get all of them!
