I ignored so many red flags. My ex couldn't afford to pay for his flight to come visit me when we were dating so he would ask for my airline miles, he had no savings or investments after living in the U S for 20 years, he was denied credit to even open a cable account. All that was because he was an alcoholic, so he spent his money irresponsibly and lost many jobs. I wish I had known that him being broke all the time was a result of alcoholism and irresponsibility. All this got worse after we got married. Now I'm left to pick up the pieces 😢
