it is actually a feature where dolphins and squids have baby variations! But you have to find them in the wild since you cannot breed them

Small correction. While the mob vote where the phantom won’s losers will NEVER be added, the other mob vote losers are completely allowed for be added, they just need a fitting update to put them in.

3:45 It's NOT how mob or biome votes work. With the exception of the very first, when yeah they did say the 3 remaining mobs will be scrapped (though considering one get into Dungeons even this is NOT entirely true, also the horse situation You mentioned). For the biome votes they SPECIFICALLY PROMISE TO ADD THEM later, the vote was only for ORDER of adding (which is already proven by adding mangrove). The mob vote was a bit less specific as it was not direct promise all of them will be added, but they were not rejected, just put on Mojang idea-shelf to be added at proper time.
Though honestly I don't see much of and use for meerkats, ostriches (except maybe a transport option similar to a horse...), vultures, icelogers or glares. (By uses I'm not mean just useful drops, or behaviours direclty benefitting the player but also just some interesting mechanic/behaviour with other mobs/player)
Copper and tuff golems would actually be great additions. Rascals too IF they would be done much better than what we were shown.
And moobloom should imo be added in fututre, Aether-like dimension.

The "not teach kids to hunt whales" excuse is stupid. Though I'm not sure if oceans are big enough for them. Though I thought about adding Narvals (hunted by drowned, as their "horns" would be used with prismarine to craft trident. And also some cool new block family)

And penguin was honestly the worst option. Crab was the best, but armadilo is fine addition too. Especially since it scare of spiders (but the mechanic of scutes and wolf armor is all turned upside down, and it should be actually tamable). Also - contrary to what seems most logicall - they vere supposed to spawn in stony shores.
