I went BACK IN TIME at Alton Towers!?

Alton Towers has seen many rides and attractions over the years, The Smiler, Nemesis, and even the older ones like the Corkscrew and Black Hole! Today, I head back to 2009 to experience the Alton Towers Resort in that era - where rides like Oblivion and Rita still stood but the likes of Thirteen and Wickerman remain unknown to anyone. Join me as i take a look around!

First visit to Towers that I remember was about 2004 or around then. I remember toyland tours, the spider web ice skating show, the dung heap, old mcdonalds farm, the black hole, the chocolate volcano events, ATTV show and of course the original corkscrew! god i feel old now 😂

I have been Alton Towers pretty much every year since I was young so very nostalgic for me I remember the Flume, Twirling Toadstool, Wobble World, Ice Age 4D Cinema and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Seeing Ripsaw and Nemesis Sub Terra. And I actually did play on Space Adventures at one point.

I’ve only been to Alton Towers recently, but my parents have fond memories of going decades ago and riding on a log flume and a black hole indoor ride that sadly no longer exist. I was able to spot the separated piece of coast track at the entrance, but I had no idea just how much had been taken down.

It’s things like this that make you wish you could time travel, to save old rides from going.
