He may not be as good as he used to be but you got to admit... he still has it

How far he threw it is impressive enough but he also hit the target. The third baseman just stood there. Crazy.

As a Mariners fan, enjoy watching Ichiro play on our team over the years. That throw was great & right on target for the catch.

Ichiro is getting old. 10 years ago, after catching the ball he still have time to sign on the ball then throw to the third base.

Growing up in Seattle and being a huge mariners fan they definitely haven't lived up to the amount of talent they've had as a team but as a kid watching griffey, randy Johnson, Jay buhner, Edgar Martinez, and ichiro has sure been fun. Now if we could make a run into the PLAYOFFS that would be great come on M's win us a pennant.

Ichiro has a better arm than half the RFs in MLB right now.

An uncanny resemblance to his MLB debut put-out on 11 Apr 2001 against the....Oakland Athletics. Now known as "The Throw" (Ichiro entered the bottom of the 8th inning during the 8th game of the season at Oakland's Alameda County Coliseum, took a hit off the bounce from a Ramon Hernandez hit, with the A's Terrence long breaking for 3rd base. Ichiro launched a laser straight throw to Mariners third baseman David Bell, who hardly had to move to tag out Long). (Story courtesy of the New York Times). Final score that day was Seattle 5, Oakland 4. 18 years later, Ichiro plays his final game against Oakland with the same final score. Never to be forgotten in Seattle (and, of course, Japan).

I’m not a big Mariners fan, but it’s upsetting he didn’t spend his whole career in that uniform. He’s an icon regardless, even though he played for the evil empire.
