Fact: When Ichiro was playing in Japan, the Japanese league played 30 fewer games per year than MLB. In fact, Ichiro has only hit over 200 once in his nine years in Japan, but he has hit over 200 in MLB ten times, including an insane record of 262.
My opinion: If he had been in MLB since his professional debut, he would have surpassed Pete Rose in all time hit record with ease.

One of THE MOST most humble, surprising, hard working and dedicated baseball players to ever play. As a braves fan, watching this man as a kid was amazing. Easily one of my top 3 players of all time.

Growing up as a Mariners fan living in Seattle, my baseball friends and I idolized Ichiro as a beacon of what baseball is about. We would imitate his stance at the plate, popping his sleeve and extending the bat outwards, we tried mimicking his swing... we did it all! I'm so thankful to grow up in a time where he ruled my beloved city with a humble and hard-working glove! I am so thankful for the memories he produced for me and I'm so thankful for what he did for the game of baseball in Seattle! Ich, thank you for everything!

You’re going to do a video on Ichiro, and not include any of his throws? Not even the Terrence Long throw from right field?

10 straight seasons of 200+ hits, a gold glove and a sliver slugger. It will never happen again. He was the greatest all around baseball player of all time. Only person i would throw in there is Ken Griffey Jr.

Where’s “The Throw?” The walk-off homer off Mo Rivera? The inside-the-park homer in the All-Star Game? The homer on his return to Seattle? The ninja move to escape the tag at home plate and score? You’re going to do a career Ichiro highlight video and leave those out?!

Shocked by hearing this today. The Mariners and A's play a opening day series in Japan in 2019. Ichiro could play in it. His final sendoff. The possible reason why he is not officially retired.

How can someone that has accomplished so much be so humble? Not a trace of arrogance in him. Can't help but appreciate this great man. He is John Stockton of baseball.

Dude started at age 27 and ended up with 3000+ hits. Unbelievable.

He caught a homer right next to us once, he apologized profusely for needing to throw it back and tossed us a ball in the next inning

Ichiro is easily one of the best player to ever put on an MLB uniform right? Regardless of what Pete Rose trys to say, Ichiro is the hit king. I grew up from Seattle, so the mariners have always been my favorite team since birth. Ichiro is my 🐐

I personally believe that Ichiro is THE greatest player in the history of baseball. NO other player could or can do what he was able to do. The hit records, the amazing defensive plays, the speed, the reliabllity. He is the best all around player ever. No question. Take just about any player you want and Ichiro’s records beats them. I am so glad I was alive during his era

As a Seattle fan for a lifetime, I am happy other teams got to view him play on their teams. What an exciting player to watch and for young players, a wonderful role model. 1st round Ballot HOF...

If Ichiro had played in Ty Cobb's era, he would have hit .500. 5 tool players like him are so rare and so talented and they need to be honored in an era where guys get contracts for hitting 30 HR's and having .200 batting averages. And the scary thing is, he didn't debut in the MLB till he was 27. Imagine if he was Miguel Cabrera debuting at 19. For the record, I am a Yankee fan and I am proud that Ichiro Suzuki wore the pinstripes
