Should I make this a series?! I have so many more tips for reducing frizz when washing, and when refreshing!

Every time I go for a haircut, the stylist does mistake #6 (the aggressive scrunching). It's so frustrating! Especially since I usually have to get my haircuts either on my work break or right before work. Then I'm left going to work with frizzy, undefined, and webbed hair. I don't feel super comfortable telling a stylist how to do their job because I don't want to offend them, but during my last cut, I did explain to her how I scrunch my hair after applying products. She still went in super aggressively. I definitely think hair stylists need to be better trained when it comes to dealing with wavy/curly hair because I know this is something a lot of wavies/curlies deal with when going to a salon.

Thank you so much Gena! You touched on so many areas of frizz producers in our routines that NO ONE EVER talks about. Such valuable lessons of causes and cures. Your visual examples really drive it home. Your videos really show your compassion to the curly girls struggles and frustrations. I’ve learned SO MUCH from you and I’m 63! You are truly an Angel in The Curly Hair community in my opinion. 💕💕💕💕💕

I really appreciated this video. You are the first curly head that I've seen on YouTube that actually mentioned a very difficult problem and you called it Webby hair. I've noticed that in my own hair many times. But I appreciate you itemizing mistakes that can be easily done and how to fix it. This was a great tutorial.

These tips definitely apply to grey hair, which is more coarse and easily frizzy. I especially love the advice about amount of water in hair before styling. This has been a problem for me before.

Wow....I need to learn more if I want my hair to look better. I stopped coloring my hair with COVID, so it's quite grey now, which I actually really like. It's such a relief not to be worrying about grey roots, and I truly like the color and don't think I look "older" as I feared for so long I would. But I feel curly grey hair can look even more sloppy than curly dark hair when it gets frizzy. So, I need to up my game a bit just to feel sharp, you know? I'm not going to be at your level, Gena, but that's OK. I just need to be happy with my hair myself, like you said. Thanks very much for this video and the others of yours I've watched tonight. I'm about to get in the shower and then try some of what you talked about here and HOPE that tomorrow morning, whatever I manage tonight, still looks decent as I am going to drive into NYC for Thanksgiving (about 90 miles from where I live) and I won't have time to fuss in the morning. <3 <3 <3

EDIT: I did it. It's so not perfect, but that's OK. It's way better than I was doing before. Not sure how it will hold up overnight, since it's not nearly as defined as yours, but hopefully well enough! Thank you. I'm really grateful.

Thanks for this video. I’m in my 60’s and just started using these kind of products. I do not like the crunchy hair look so I’m glad I watched this video and you talked about that. I thought it was my products

As always, great tips. I know most if them but having them all put together really helped me remember. This time of year is such a frizzy struggle for me. I'm going back to diffusing! Thank you.

After having no luck with the advanced climate control gels (I know, unpopular opinion!), I reluctantly tried that coil infusion good shaper gel and LOVED it! I've used it 3 or 4 times & have gotten excellent curl enhancement! I paired it with different products each time so I'd know for sure what that gel was doing for me, and every time my curls would be extra bouncy & more uniform. My right side is always a bit curlies than my left side, especially by day 3 and on, but this gel helped the left look just as curly as the right, with much less of a difference as days went on. I have fine, easily weighed down hair, so you're right, it should be fine for other fine curlies 💜💜💜

Gena, I've been binge-watching your videos and you have the BEST content on curly hair. I really appreciate it and just wanted to say thank you! I'm absolutely amazed at what a difference your techniques have made, and I've only just tried a few so far! I'm excited to let the curls down and to stop straightening so much.
