Part of what I enjoy about your videos is how you weave little bits of your life into them, like "Can you hear the washing machine in the background?" And your oldest son is starting school, watching your children eat, mentioning that you and your husband would like to live in a foreign country later, and, through it all, the balance of color, texture, and shape in the food and dishes, placemat and cutting board. It is a harmony of delicacy and beauty. Like you!

As a German, I very much appreciate your praise of our bread <3 I myself have a wholegrain rye bread with sunflower seeds in my kitchen :D I don't even consider white toast bread

From what I've learned watching your videos, I now make veggie miso for breakfast weekly. Very satisfying!

Hi Miwa, I thought you should know, I realized today that you're influencing my cooking quite a bit LOL. Just yesterday, I FINALLY found nattō, and I also bought a big bag of 12-grain mixed rice (from Korea I think). I don't like plain brown rice (I love whole grain pasta, but not brown rice), but I love good-quality sushi rice. Your videos of adding the 12-grain mixture to your sushi rice (other than when making sushi) really inspired me! I love the idea of adding nutrients, fiber and even a little protein to the sushi rice. :) I'm going to try it today, when I make pork belly, vegetable pancake, nattō, rice, seaweed and kimchi for lunch.
You've also inspired me to think about the nutrition in my meals in more detail. I usually consider things like making sure I have a well-balanced meal, but you have inspired me to think in more detail about how I can add more beneficial ingredients. An example of that is what I will be having for my breakfast today: I'm having a slice of good-quality whole-grain bread, with cream cheese, red onion and salmon (it's similar to lox and bagel, have you ever heard of that? It's very tasty!), which was all I would have had in the past, but now I add 2 poached eggs to it, and I have the eggs on a bed of greens. I also add a bit of some kind of fruit, lately it's grapes. It's delicious!

I lived in Germany for three years and miss the brown bread too. Especially the hardy kind with seeds and nuts were so good.

Yes, I would love to see you make Natto. I just made my first batch of Natto in an instant pot. It came out perfect!

I love this so much! I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and unfortunately I’ve been dealing with stomach ulcers for about 3 years now and I really like that these recipes have a lot of flavor (unlike most bland foods I usually have to eat). Pickled and fermented things are a must.

I appreciate your videos very much because Japanese style breakfast is my favourite, and I like to eat healthy (vegetarian) food! Thank you so much!

Hi Miwa-San….your videos are always so packed with information and at the same time very soothing to watch. Almost every dish is connected to some kind of memory like your Great Grandma. I find the same too. Many dishes I make are from my Grandma or my Mom. And I add ingredients or subtract to suit my taste. I enjoy bread too. I like the ones that are dense with grains and seeds. In fact I’m going out to buy a sunflower / flax loaf this morning. I would be very interested in a video where you make natto. Take care 😊🇨🇦

I love miso soup and so do both of my daughters! My baby loves anything with miso. Her favorite lunch is soba noodles with any kind of vegetables in either miso broth or miso paste mixed with a little butter. Your recipes have given me so much inspiration for how to bring more delicious veggies into my family's diet.
