The correct way to insert a Microsoft Office Word Document into PowerPoint is to use PowerPoint Slides From Outline. Click the Home Tab, click the drop down arrow for New Slide, select Slides from Outline. Find your MS Word doc and click Insert.

If you have a MAC and Office for the Mac you want to save your Word Document as Rich Text Format (RFT).

I tried this but get this message: Powerpoint cant read the outline from folder location. No text converter is installed for this file type.

This only shows to insert a single page document, I wish to create a powerpoint 2013 document with a 23 pages including photographs. The original document is in word 2013.  Any suggestion besides the above? I dont really have the time or patience to rewrite and then copy every illustration and table into powerpoint, I would have thought with the way MS is advertising about the MS Office family it would be able for data to flow from to the other.
I look forward to your response.

It keep saying powerpoint can't open file because its file extension has changed. make sure the format of the file matches the file extension

So, do you have to use MS Styles for all the different titles; to be honest I had a 25-30 page (final project paper) to submit. I ended up submitting it as a stand alone word document (it had screen shots, several references, it was a final project concerning database design so at least half of it was pretty technical, the other half the business questions the DB would answer, the whole reasoning behind the DB itself). After spending a lot of time on doing screen shots, and technical stuff with ODBC connecting SQL server to Access, making a report and a couple of forms for the final paper (and all the aforementioned is brand new to me), and of course all the typing, I just grew very tired after checking online on how to get the completed paper into power point. To be honest, a lot of software has so many options to me it just becomes, "Really, how long am I going to take creating a power point now?" Plenty of training on PP and lots of other software, think that is the problem, SO MANY OPTIONS (and why does even MS products, like power point open some things in the right, and from what I can see, for no obvious reason. Would not buy a car with left hand steering and be happy when I picked it up that the steering was on the right side instead...yeah I thing steering wheel placement is more severe than placement of objects on a screen, still it is annoying. Power point was not mandatory for the project, at least it was not communicated effectively as such if that was the case, but may have lost some points by not doing a PP. Perhaps I should pursue a career critiquing software?

This did not work for me. I have worship lyrics 1page turned into 8pages and my lyrics where all over the place. Version 2007

Thanks for the video! I'm wondering how you can insert a pdf file above your first slide but not include that pdf in your actual slideshow? Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
