Friends of Jay Slater have said 'Spanish police are not doing enough' and say they 'fobbed them off' when reporting their missing friend. The Spanish police have also NOT provided translators to assist in the investigation.

Apparently, at the court case regarding the serious assault on Tom Hilton by eight youths, including Slater, the judge admonished all of the accused for their disrespect and lack of remorse throughout the trial. This young man obviously possesses a level of arrogance and self-belief which may well have led to him being in a potentially life-threatening situation. I feel sorry for his family, but cannot help but feel that society is well on the way to being ever so slightly enriched in the near future.
Should he survive this little adventure, I certainly hope he thinks seriously about changing his ways and becoming a better person.
